LEGO Harry Potter is one of those games that just took the world by storm. Even non-gamers have been utterly enthralled by this mini-wizard’s adventures in, erm, LEGO. If you’ve never tried out the LEGO series of games and happen to have a PS3 lying about the house, then this is a brilliant present for yourself (or a friend) and your family.

Parents, this game will enchant your kids and is a brilliant Christmas present. It will definitely come in handy as the nights draw in, the winter chill hunkers down, and we don’t want to go outside and play. Sometimes a great game and a roaring fire are exactly what the doctor ordered.

For those of you who aren’t sure what the LEGO Harry Potter thing is all about, let me explain. Here you get to take the role of the characters from J.K. Rowling's popular series and enjoy taking on the mysteries of Hogwarts but instead of the usual gaming design, you are a little LEGO person. It sounds simple but it’s really quite brilliant and utterly entertaining.
