We're used to Morrisons* treating us to some really unusual treats at their in-store food counters, but this one is splitting the team! They have launched a Yorkshire Pudding Pizza and we're just not sure what to think.
It's to celebrate Yorkshire Pudding Day on Sunday 3rd February (no, we had no idea either) and will be available in stores from now until 20th February.
These new culinary delights have a crispy Yorkshire pudding base with a filling of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, and come in two flavours: classic pepperoni, or meat feast – made up of mini meatballs, pepperoni, spicy beef and jalapeno chillies.
You'll be able to snap up a yorkie pud pizza at 491 Morrisons stores at their in-store pizza counter for £3 each.
Jenny Dixon, 'Yorkshire Pudding Expert' at Morrisons, said: ‘Everyone loves Yorkshire pudding and everyone loves pizza, so we are combining the two to create the ultimate comfort food for Yorkshire Pudding Day. The crust is made the same way as a typical Yorkshire pudding and is topped the same way as one of our pizzas. We’re looking forward to hearing what customers think but we hope that they’ll love it!’
