Morrisons* is doing their bit to cut food waste and save us even more money on our shopping, as they're launching a 1kg 'Too Good To Waste' box this week in all Morrisons stores, and it costs just £1!
The boxes will aim to sell fruit and veggies that are at the end of their shelf life but are still perfectly good to eat, and they will contain a mix of fruit, vegetables and salad.
A Morrisons greengrocer will check every piece of fruit and veg to make sure it's still of good quality before it goes in the box.
The Too Good To Waste boxes could contain any of the huge variety of fresh produce they sell, from a mix of 75 types of fruit, 80 sorts of veg and 50 salad lines, so you could get to try all sorts of new food for next to nothing!
We think it's a great move, and will help us save money as well as cut down on food waste, and this sounds like a great way of getting kids to try new fruit and veggies too. Well done Morrisons!
