There are lots of things that go hand in hand such as fish and chips and strawberries and cream, but Marmite and peanut butter?! I've never heard of such a thing!
However it was unveiled this morning that the brand new product that Marmite have been teasing us about over the last few weeks is in fact Marmite Peanut Butter!
The company who make it says the spread has been developed in response to "overwhelming demand" from shoppers.
"The British public asked, and we listened," said Camilla Williamson, brand manager at Marmite. "It's the most exciting product launch since Marmite began in 1902", she added.
The product is going to be available to buy online from Monday, and will hit supermarket shelves next month.
Now this is a pretty controversial subject as Marmite fans are very protective when it comes to their beloved spread. There are many people who are certain that Marmite and peanut butter don't go together and others who say they have been eating them together for years!
Personally, as a Marmite fan and someone who likes peanut butter too, I can honestly say I have NEVER thought of eating them together! I am a little intrigued and may have to purchase some for research purposes of course! Now if they could please invent a Marmite and butter spread that would be amazing!
