Cakes are so boring... now it's all about Cake Jars and Marks And Spencer have jumped right onto the bandwagon with their new range of them. There are three flavours including a Colin the Caterpillar one, and we reckon it's only a matter of time before a Percy Pig one joins the delicious range.
Marks and Spencer Cake Jars
The M&S Cake Jars cost £4 each for the Colin the Caterpillar, Raspberry Ripple or Trillionaire's. Not cheap, but they look like a treat we can devour in secret once the kids go to bed. Well, nobody said we had to share.
Which one will you choose?
Colin the Caterpillar Cake Jar is made up of rich chocolate sponge, lashings of Belgian chocolate sauce, oodles of chocolate ganache, milk and white chocolate chips with a Colin the Caterpillar white chocolate face.
Raspberry Ripple Cake Jar is the fruitier of the three and is made up of crumpled madeira sponge, sticky raspberry jam, dollops of creamy vanilla buttercream and finished with freeze-dried raspberry pieces.
Trillionaire’s Cake Jar is the most indulgent flavour of them all with madeira sponge soaked with salted caramel sauce, a rich, silky chocolate ganache, milk chocolate shortcake balls and chewy fudge pieces.
What's great is that the tubs they come in are fully recyclable and you can reuse them too.
These are available in M&S Simply Food stores and Marks and Spencer Food Halls.
