Marks and Spencer have their £10 Meal Deal on from now through to Tuesday 21st March. For that £10, you get to choose a main, two side dishes and a drink (wine or non-alcoholic). Unfortunately, this time there are no desserts, but you are getting two side dishes instead.
It's a nice alternative to a takeaway on a Saturday Night, and my husband and I often get it, when we are 'stuck in' with the kids, and can't go out for a romantic meal.
MAINS
- Beef bolognese melt - Italian pasta topped with a hearty rich beef bolognese ragu, bechamel sauce, lashings of grated cheese and fresh parsley
- Vegetable pasta melt (V) - Pasta, broccoli and petits pois in a tomato sauce, topped with a cheese and spinach sauce
- Woodfired salami Napoli diavola pizza - Slow-rising sourdough which is hand-stretched before baking in a woodfired oven, then topped with buffalo mozzarella, salami from Napoli, fiery Roquito pepper pearls and chargrilled peppers
- Woodfired margherita pizza (V) -Slow-rising sourdough which is hand-stretched before baking in a woodfired oven, then topped with mozzarella, slow-roasted cherry tomatoes from Puglia and cheese
- Roasted vegetable lasagne (V) - Italian free-range egg spinach pasta layered with roasted onions, aubergine, courgette & peppers in a rich tomato sauce, topped with creamy béchamel sauce & mozzarella
- Lasagne al forno - Sheets of free-range egg pasta layered with a creamy parmesan béchamel sauce and a rich slow-cooked ragu with beef, pork, tomatoes and red wine
