Heinz and Cathedral City new Cheesy Baked Beans have hit stores!

They teased the launch earlier this year, but at last they have hit stores... Heinz Cathedral City Cheesy Baked Beans are here! The 390g tins of cheesy bean goodness are the best price in Tesco with your Clubcard or at Iceland as they're £1.50 in both stores.

This new product contains Cathedral City’s Extra Mature Cheddar, which has been cooked into the sauce, with a small amount of cheese powder “to elevate the taste”, according to Heinz.

It was developed based on the results of a survey which found that 64% of baked beans fans thought cheese made them tastier. A spokesperson for Heinz said: “We know Brits absolutely love pairing beans with cheese and so we’re thrilled to finally announce our partnership with Cathedral City – bringing beans lovers up and down the country the ultimate perfect match”.

Also launched this month is the new Heinz/Cathedral City Our Cheese & Heinz Beanz Toastie, and that one is exclusive to Iceland.

I love to add cheese to my beans so this new food is one that I definitely have to try so I'm adding some to my Tesco order right now!
