These are a bit random, but we are coming round to the idea of them. Asda have brought out Donut Beef Burgers - granted they sound disgusting, but these are simply beef burgers with a hole in the middle. I know, when I heard "Donut Burgers" I conjured up some vision of a meat/cake fusion too.
Donut Beef Burgers
Asda are often ahead of the game when it comes to "inventive" food ideas. I think it's fair to say this one tops the lot of them.
What's the point of a beef burger with a hole in the middle? Well, the thought behind it is that you fill it with pulled pork or cheese, but I like the idea of black pudding or egg.
The Asda Butcher's Selection Donut Burgers come in a 2 pack, are priced at just £1.97 and contain 87% beef.
If you follow a gluten free diet, then you'll be pleased to find out that you can eat these without any ill effect.
Each burger has 244 calories in, but you can bet I'm going to double that figure with whatever I stuff the middle with.
These are available in store, as well as online.
