If you were a fan of the iconic McRib at McDonald's then you'll be excited to know that after almost a decade away, it'll be returning to UK restaurants this month!
The legendary McDonald's item features a tender pork patty in the shape of a rack of ribs, barbecue sauce, pickles, onions, all served in a homestyle bun and will return to McDonald's restaurants in just a matter of days, the fast-food chain has confirmed.
McDonald's has confirmed that the McRib will be available for a limited time starting this month. The popular McRib will make its grand return on October 16th, and fans of the fast food chain are thrilled the favourite burger is heading back to the UK.
Priced at £4.49 for the sandwich alone, and £6.19 as part of a medium extra value meal, the McRib's reappearance comes after what McDonald's describes as years of 'fan petitions and countless social media pleas.'
"Knowing how well-loved the McRib is, we had very little choice - we had
to make it happen. It was time to step up and satisfy the cravings of
McRib enthusiasts across the country," Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at
McDonald’s UK said in a statement ahead of the relaunch.
The cult classic first appeared in UK restaurants in 1981, and has been
making several appearances on the menu over the years. However, back in
2015 it was confirmed it would be disappearing completely from UK menus.
