If you are a Mum of a certain age (like me haha) then you might well remember the old Milk Tray adverts featuring a Bond type clad in black whizzing through the night defeating foes and managing daring feats before sneaking in through an open window... to leave a box of chocolates in the bedroom! "And all because the lady loves... Milk Tray." That was the Milk Tray Man. I haven't re-watched the ads to see if I remember them correctly, but they was so famous and copied so many times that you could hardly miss them.
The Milk Tray Man was apparently last on TV screens 13 years ago, but as it started in the 1960's when James Bond did the series of adverts is so iconic that they are still famous. And now Cadbury think it is time for a comeback and they are looking for a new Milk Tray Man.
We're on the search for a modern Milk Tray Man, someone who is thoughtful yet adventurous and I'm really looking forward to seeing who it will be.
While a sense of adventure is still key to his character, what we want from today’s Milk Tray Man is someone thoughtful who goes the extra mile. With an application process that’s open to all, we’re confident we’ll find a modern-day hero.
There's a new TV ad to launch the search which you can see over on our Facebook page, and you can either apply yourself or nominate someone who you think has what it takes. The winner will get a one year contract to front the Dairy Milk brand for 2016.
