EDIT 26/07/17: Chris will be back to read another story on 5th August at 6.50pm on CBeebies. He'll be reading Goodnight World* by Debi Gliori.
I must admit that this news has got me way more excited than is appropriate for a dull Monday afternoon. Following in the footsteps of Mums' favourite Tom Hardy, the BBC has announced that Hollywood actor Chris Evans, that's Captain America himself, will be reading the CBeebies Bedtime Story!
The actor will appear on 10th May to read Even Superheroes Have Bad Days*, and Evans said he was "honoured" to be the next guest on "such a special show".
"I hope families have as much fun watching as I had reading," he said.
The book by Shelly Becker and Eda Kaban shows children how to cope when they are feeling overwhelmed by their feelings, with a tale of how they can channel their energies like superheroes.
Other stars that have read bedtime stories include David Tennant, Isla Fisher, Damian Lewis, James McAvoy, Maxine Peake and David Hasselhoff, as well as Tom Hardy who we know has already recorded more to be broadcast later in the year.
Now that CBeebies is drawing such big names to read bedtime stories for children, we can't help but wonder where they will go from here. I mean, how do you top Captain America?
Who would you like to see next, and what stories would you like them to read? Join in the discussion in the comments or over on our Facebook page.
