We shared a video the other day on our Facebook page that had a very positive message, that there's no need to judge each other's parenting methods, as we all have the same goal. Then I came across a newspaper article about a young lady who was handed a note whilst on a train journey with her three year old son, along with a £5 note.
The note was most heartwarming and read:
Have a drink on me.
You are a credit to your generation, polite and teaching the little boy good manners.
Man on train at table with glasses and hat
Have a lovely evening.
PS I have a daughter your age, someone did the same for her once. Hope when she has children she is as good a mother as you.
The young lady that received the note is Sammie Welch aged 23, and she was so touched by the kind gesture that she is seeking to find the 'man on the train at table with glasses and hat'.
The kind man, Sammie and her son were travelling on the First Great Western train from Birmingham to Plymouth on Thursday and the man got off in Bristol at around 7 or 8pm. Do you know anyone that was on that train?
Without a doubt this is a lovely thing to have happened, and we would love to know your stories about similar incidents, comments about your parenting skills. Share your stories with us over on our Facebook page.
