RECALL: Soulet Fargo Wooden Playcentre From Smyths Toys

Do you have the Soulet Fargo Wooden Playcentre in your garden, or know someone that does? Smyths Toys have just issued a Product Notice on it, that doesn't go as far as a full recall, but gives a warning about a possible fault.

There appears to be an issue with the step ladder that leads up to the play deck and slide where they have had complaints about the steps breaking.

They are advising all customers to inspect their steps before use and if you find any damage you can obtain replacement steps.

The Soulet Fargo Wooden Playcentre* is still listed on the Smyths website so if you need to identify it you can see it here*. It is no longer for sale either online or in shops, though it was still being sold very recently.

The Soulet Fargo Wooden Playcentre (142394) has been on sale since the 06.01.2012

It has been brought to the attention of Smyth's Toys that within the last 2 years (season 2015-2016) there is a small percent (approx. 0.1%) of stock returned due to the issue of some steps breaking.

As a precautionary measure we would advise customers to inspect their ladder steps before use and if they find any fault with the steps to either return to their local store or contact Customer Service for replacement steps.
