OMG! How long have we all waited for a Love Actually Sequel? Anyone who watched the original film was left pondering what happened next? Now you can find out. Richard Curtis has made a short film that will air on Red Nose Day, which is on the 24th March.
It may only last ten minutes long but will feature many of the original cast... Hugh Grant as the Prime Minister, Keira Knightly as Juliette, Liam Neeson as Daniel, Martine McCutcheon as Natalie, Colin Firth as Jamie, Lucia Moniz as Aurelia, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Grown-Up Sam, Olivia Olson as also Grown-Up Joanna, Bill Nighy as Billy, Marcus Brigstocke as Mikey and the talented Rowan Atkinson as Rufus.
I secretly longed to see Emma Thompson on that cast list, so I would be delighted if she made a return in the sequel. Unfortunately, her on-screen husband Alan Rickman sadly passed away last year, but we hope that he is not forgotten in this short film. After all, he heavily contributed to the success of the first.
So, we want to know, what do you hope to happen in the sequel? A baby for Aurelia and Jamie? More musical madness (and badness) from Billy? A big celebrity wedding for Prime Minister and Natalie? Or perhaps, just maybe, a happy ending for emotionally destroyed Karen, played by Emma Thompson.
