Have you seen an online competition for a 40% off Aldi voucher similar to the one above? Aldi are warning that is it a hoax designed to obtain people's personal details fraudulently.
A post on Aldi UK's Facebook page says the following:
"We have been notified that there is a hoax 40% off Aldi voucher being circulated online. Please be aware that this post is fraudulent and cannot be redeemed in our stores. We strongly advise that you do not complete any personal details or enter the competition that is running as part of claiming the voucher. This is currently being fully investigated."
It's unfortunate that Aldi customers are being targeted in this way, and Aldi have said that the voucher cannot be redeemed in any of it's stores as it is fake.
A close look at the voucher may ring alarm bells with the Americanised date format, the use of the term "no rain checks", and the random font alterations, but at a first glance it is easy to see how people have been taken in by it.
If you do see one of these vouchers online or a competition for a 40% off Aldi voucher that does not come from the company's official channels then avoid it, and ensure that you do not complete any of your personal details.
If you believe you have already been a target of this fraud or wish to pass on the details to Aldi then you can do so here on the Aldi Facebook page.
