John Lewis have three baby sleeping bags on offer in their Reduced To Clear section.
I know a lot of people don't like the Grobag style baby sleeping bag, but it has been a life-saver for us. My daughter has always hated being covered, even wriggling her way out of swaddling as a new born – a trait that has never changed, meaning she's now regularly covered in mosquito bites.
The sleeping bags have been such a help, keeping her covered in winter for the cold, and covered in summer for the mozzies. When she slept in a cot, it also meant she couldn't climb out and hurt herself.
John Lewis' description also says “Baby sleeping bags prevent the potential danger of overheating by using too much bedding - and of the risk of loose bedding going over baby’s head. They also mean babies can't get their feet stuck between cot bars or climb out of their cots - providing a safer sleeping environment all round.
Other benefits include preventing the scratching of itchy eczema and generally helping to make the move from a Moses basket to a big cot easier to cope with.”
The Baby Floral Sleeping Bagis 1 tog (ideal for summer) and is now£14 - £16, dependant on size. The Baby Bright Green Stripeis 2.5 tog, so, better for winter, and is now £12.00, while the Organic Teddies Sleeping Bag, 2.5 Tog is now £23.00.
