It would seem that wooden chess and draughts, and sometimes backgammon, sets are like proverbial buses!  Last year I was on the prowl for a really nice wooden chess and draughts set, that didn't cost the earth, and could I find one? NO!

In the last two months I've told you about three amazing deals for such sets - this one being the third one!

So, the first one was a present for someone else; then I reserved the wooden chess and draughts set that Argos had on sale (they don't any more) but completely forgot to go and collect it! I have actually bought and paid for this one and can collect it from my chosen Tesco store as of 4pm tomorrow; hurrah!

I love playing chess; I play a lethal game of chess and this wooden chess and draughts set is destined to live at my South African home so I can thrash my chess-playing husband on a regular basis - it's the small things that make me happy.
