If you have been after a Nintendo 2DS for your kids this is the best price we have seen for a good while, as Tesco Direct have dropped the console down to £75.99, and that comes with a choice of game pre-installed as well. You can choose from Mario Kart 7, Super Mario Bros 2 or Tomodachi Life consoles, so for this price with the game included it's a great buy.
The consoles come in a black and blue colour with the Mario games, or the Tomodachi one is a white and red console, though it's probably more the game that the kids will be interested in than the colour!
The game comes pre-installed on the console, so there's no separate game cartridge. They come with rechargable batteries installed, and a charger so you can top it up. There's no case with it, but buy this Red Carrying Case* along with the console and you get the package for just £78.99, meaning that the case has only cost you £3!
The Nintendo DS is compatible with games for the DS and also 3DS, though it will only play those in 2D mode, but that's great for younger children as the 3D is not recommended for younger players.
My son has the Mario Kart 7 version of this console and it's been great as with the size it's very handy for taking out and about, on holidays, and visiting friends and family. There's a really big choice of games for this console too, and they are very cheap too, so it's easy to grab new games for it without spending a small fortune.
