Did you miss out on last nights breast pump glitch at Boots? Darn, well here's an alternative, it's not electric but it sure is a good price. Amazon are selling the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature manual breast pump for £10.99 including FREE delivery. It sells for £14.99 at Argos and a whopping £19.99 at Toys R Us and Mothercare. Bear in mind that these don't include delivery either.
What's included? The Closer to Nature manual breast pump, a 150ml Easi-vent bottle, one milk storage pot, half a dozen breast pads and a microwave steriliser box. I like that you get the storage pot that can be attached to the pump so there's no need to decant it from the bottle to the pot then back to the bottle when needed. Makes sense really.
Anyone that has read my posts about any Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature items, will know that I am a fan. I don't think there's any of their products that I haven't used. My babies all got on well the bottles etc, but I do understand each baby is different.
It breaks into only three bits, making it easy to clean. In my opinion, it is as good as a manual pump gets, however, an electric pump takes some beating. One positive I will mention about a manual pump is that you can still watch Emmerdale and hear it, whereas an electric pump comes with a noise.
