Yesterday, I was looking for something to suit my son. He is nearly two and is starting to become less interested in eating at mealtimes. I have decided to find something that would pique his interest and I have found the thing to do just that. You get these Placematix Eating Sets and basically they are like Lego or Duplo, in that you get a baseplate and everything can click onto that.
Amazon sell them for much cheaper than I saw them for. You can get the Placematix - Interlocking Kids Tableware Meal Set* for just £17.99. This contains EVERYTHING you need: a Placemat Base Plate, a Fork, a Spoon, a Flat Plate and a Bowl. This is £17.99.
They are dishwasher safe and can be microwaved for up to five minutes at a time. Judging from the great reviews, Lego Duplo bricks can be used with Placematix items, which is really fun.
Other sets include: Placematix Interlocking Kids Gift Box Set* only £16.99 delivered, Placematix Interlocking Kids Dinner Set* only £12.25 delivered and Placematix Interlocking Kids Cutlery Set* just £6.99 delivered.
I am most certainly not one to encourage playing at the dinner table, but I think items like this are brilliant to get children's attention back to their food when they are going through that awkward stage.
