At this time of year when many of us turn our attention to summer holidays, it's reasonable to wish that someone would invent the world's smallest stroller to help make light work of travelling with a baby.
Well, now they have!
The new gb Pockit is the world's smallest folded stroller, holding the uncontested 2014 Guinness World Record, and you can order the Mothercare version herefor £129.
Weighing just 4.3k and measuring 30 x 18 x 35 cm, the stroller is small enough to fit into your handbag whilst being sturdy, extremely durable and easy to manoeuvre, according to the manufacturers.
Suitable for children from six months up to 15kg, the Pockit offers two fold options. The 'everyday' fold makes it perfect for setting aside at restaurants, while the 'ultra-compact' fold allows the stroller to be easily stowed in a suitcase, an overhead compartment or under a train seat. Both folds involve two simple steps to take the stroller from pushing to carrying mode, meaning parents can enjoy fuss-free travelling.
Oh, how I wish I'd had this for my holiday to Belgium last week. Don't even get me started on the logistical nightmare of travelling with a buggy or what happened when we collected our pushchair from the baggage carousel to find that a wheel had disappeared...!
i was going to buy one but they don't recline :(
