Alton Towers has not been without controversy in recent months, but if you are looking to visit this year then there are some big savings to be had in their January Sale. They are offering up to 35% off short breaks when you book by the end of January, plus a second day free in the park.
There's no code to enter, the prices are automatically discounted, so it's just a case of deciding which hotel you want to stay in, when, and choosing your package.
As the new season starts booking Alton Towers have started to promote lots of new features for the park after the very quiet year they had in 2015. Air is undergoing a redevelopment for the Easter opening of the park, and there is also a Rollercoaster Restaurant opening in May where your food gets delivered to your table on tracks! That looks really exciting, and is exclusively for families staying in the resort hotels.
The February Half Term looks great as it's a Pirate and Princess themed week at the resort hotels, and even though the park itself isn't open you still get to see the CBeebies Swashbuckle Live Show, there's loads of free kids entertainment and the water park is fantastic for all ages.
