The Singalong CD Player is less than half price at Mothercare right now, coming in at £15 instead of £40, - 62% off which seems like a pretty good deal for a toy that takes real CDs. You can also still use the voucher code: ERRC for an additional 10% off and CD player will only cost you £13.50.
While you could just give a child your old MP3 player and probably save yourself a lot of headaches, this is actually a pretty neat looking little gift, at a really neat little price, in my opinion.
Not only does it take real CDs, but your little one can listen and sing along to their favourite songs with this portable CD player. There aren't any reviews on the product, so I'm not sure if it's all that portable while playing – I'm assuming the laws of CDs still apply and it might jump around a bit, but with its built-in anti-shock system, it should at least be moveable, which is nice.
It features an 'easy to load' CD compartment, so kiddies can get on on their own, has volume control and large dials for little fingers to grip. It also has an easy-grip carry handle.
The real bonus of it – and where it beats your old MP3 player – is that it has two microphones, so your LO and their friends can belt out their favourites to their heart's content. More importantly, it also has a headphone socket, although headphones aren't included.
It's a monster juice-sucker though, and requires 6xC batteries, so I hope you have a versatile battery charger, or this'll up the price in no time, especially since it says nothing about being able to charge or use electricity.
Available for in-store collection, or home delivery for an additional £4.95
