Back to school bargains are everywhere this month and here’s another brilliant idea to help you work with your kids in building their reading and learning skills. The LeapPad series is a genius idea and one that we’ll be reviewing later this month, and this is one of the starter books that is ideal for kids over the age of three.
Your child will team up with Dora and Boots as they try to reunite a lost baby bird with her mother. They have all sorts of adventures on the way, and have to avoid the scary Swiper the Fox too! The LeapFrog system allows kids to guide the Leap Pad across the pages and read the story to themselves.
I was really impressed with these when I saw them at Cybermummy as they read the words out slowly in one mode, can highlight specific words to teach the alphabet in another mode, and can also be used to play games and other learning activities. It’s a genius system that I can’t wait to try out.
