Go around the world in...well, pretty much as fast or as slowly as you wish.
I have a bit of a thing for globes and atlases, but there's something about globes that really brings where everything is on the planet into sharp persepctive.
Now you can buy cheapo globes if you don't want it to do anything extra and are happy just to find what you're looking for and move on. But if you want something a little more interactive and with a broader educational element to it than just country location, then this is really worth looking at.
This Leapfrog interactive explorer globe is packed with features - far too many to list here , so here are just a few of its highlights:
The globe comes with an electronic pen and whe you touch a place or ocean with it, you will be told some interesting facts that relate to that place such as: ocean depth (in feet and metres), country capital, population, land area and continent.
You can choose which information you want from: name, capital, population, area, high point, money, music and continents/countries/states. The globe will also compare one place with another and tell you the distance in miles between them, if you touch two points one after the other.
There is also a game where the globe asks you to find various points and you must race against the clock to find them. There are multi-player options and different levels of difficulty so all the family can join in. Reviews for this are excellent with the grown-ups wondering who actually enjoys playing with this more, them or the children!
The rrp is £78.29 so there's a fair saving to be made here and delivery is, of course, free with the SuperSaver deal.
