Barbie's image is concrete solid - the long bleach blonde hair, bubble gum pink lips and tiny waistline. Mattel have caught up with the fact that it's 2019, and we want our kids to have a doll that they can somehow relate to, or at least one that breaks that Barbie stereotype. Check out the Barbie Fashionista Dolls and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Barbie Fashionista Dolls
Argos sell the Barbie Fashionista Dolls for £10 each, or two for £15 - which makes them just £7.50 each. With Barbie dolls you know what you're getting, or do you?
These Barbie Fashionista Dolls break the mould, and come in different skin, hair and eye colours. That's not all, some have a rounder face, or an edgy haircut - one even has an prosthetic limb, which is a massive step in the right direction.
It's fair to say that most people want their children to be accepting of different appearances, and not brainwashed into thinking that perfection only takes form in that of the traditional Barbie image.
If you want a cool doll, then you'll not find better than these... go read some of the reviews - there are over 500 on the Argos site, and you'll see why.
Each Barbie doll comes with one glam piece, like a necklace, glasses or earrings and a cool outfit.
You cannot specify which Barbie you are ordering, but you may be able to when collecting from an Argos store - providing you're met with a helpful member of staff.
Barbie With Prosthetic Leg
Well I never thought I would see the day where there's a Barbie doll with a prostethic limb, and I think it's brilliant. Not only is it good for children with prosthetic limbs to have something to relate to, but it's a good way to show children, that humans can look very different from themselves.
The Barbie with the prosthetic leg is available from Argos, and is included in the "2 for £15" offer.
You can reserve and collect your Barbie Fashionista Dolls for FREE from an Argos store near you, or pay £3.95 for home delivery.
