If you're looking for a basic pushchair that doesn't cost the earth, this Hauck Pushchair from Asda for just £25.00 might be the thing for you.
When I was pregnant, the price of pushchairs and prams steered me quickly towards baby-wearing (using a sling), something I've never regretted for an instant. I thought I would keep my daughter in the sling until we could put her in a stroller, but having really loved the sling, it has remained our transport of choice. That said, however, there are definite times when a stroller is a good thing to have, but for us, parent facing was non-negotiable, leaving us with very few options.
The Hauck Buggy is suitable from birth to 15kg and has a multi-position backrest, fold back hood with window, shopping basket, bumper bar, extended adjustable leg rest, fixed or swivel front wheels, and five point safety harness with comfort sleeves.
It weighs a fairly light 6kg and folds compactly to 83 x 44 x 20cm making it an ideal second or back-up pushchair. It also has a large shopping basket to free your hands of excess clutter.
Reviews for the Hauck Buggy are mixed, but it seems if you're expecting a basic pushchair, you should be reasonably happy. However, it's still forward facing, and therefore not for me, but if that isn't an issue for you, this should be a pretty good bargain.
