John Lewis are selling this Fisher-Price Classic Chorus Stacker for £5 - similar stacking ring toys are selling for around £14, so these are a rather nice little buy for a fiver.
When it comes to toys that require stacking, I can't help myself - it's the same as sorting out jigsaw puzzles pieces into corner, straight edges and middle bits, if there's stacking and sorting to be done I HAVE to do it.
If you're a regular PlayPennies reader you'll already know I'm not a huge fan of toys that play music or make sounds for the sake of it, so I'm rather surprised I like the sound of this Fisher-Price Classic Chorus Stacker as much as I do!
Every time your little one stacks a star, lights sparkle and a little tune is played; when all the stars have been stacked and the top star is pressed, classical music is played.
I was brought up with classical music, I can play the flute and clarinet and have sat Royal Schools of Music exams - classical music is just good for the soul (works by Mozart have also been linked to better and faster learning!) so perhaps this is why I'm not bemoaning the flashing lights and sounds of this Fisher-Price Classic Chorus Staker.
Aside from being fun to play with, the Fisher-Price Classical Chorus Stacker will help develop your baby's fine motor skills and stimulate their senses; marvellous.
Standard delivery costs an additional £3, or you can pop along to John Lewis and collect your order for free.
