If you’re on a low income and receive selected benefits, did you know you can apply for BT Basic Line Rental? The line rental costs £5.10 per month (£15.30 per quarter including a £4.50 call allowance), calls cost 11.3p per minute, with a set up call fee of 3.3p and BT Basic is exempt from any payment processing fees. You also get free calls to 0845 and 0870 calls free at weekends and free Caller Display.
You can normally get BT Basic and start saving if you receive one of the following benefits : Income Support, Income-Based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Pensions Credit (Guaranteed Credit) Employment Support Allowance (Income Related) or Universal Credit (and are on zero earnings)
If your circumstances change you must let BT know straight away, so that they can review your entitlement to this package.
The link above will provide more information and details of how to apply if you are eligible and think this could help save you and your family some money.
