It looks like many of us are doing some more home schooling in the weeks ahead, and if you're looking for inspiration Hobbycraft have some great ideas for school projects. You'll find craft ideas inspired by the current National Curriculum, with detailed instructions and advice on how to make them at home.
There's a mix of craft projects here to make, and I recognise many of them from my own children's recent school topics, as they're based in the National Curriculum.
Each project includes a list of what you'll need, how to make it, and some helpful documents or software to download and keep, like templates to make the projects.
Projects to make include a Coat Of Arms, Tudor Rose, Viking Longboat, Egyptian Mask, Solar System, Clay Volvano, Medieval Castle and lots more. Each uses common craft items that you may already have around the house, or that can be easily and cheaply be bought online, so you can get the kids inspired to create at home.
I wish I'd found these last term, as both my kids had to isolate twice because of covid-19 cases in their class, so we had a lot of home schooling to do. For my youngest the Tudor Rose and Tudor House would have been ideal, as the ones we made ourselves were nowhere near as impressive as these!
Even if you're not home schooling these projects look like lots of fun for the kids, so they're an idea to keep aside for rainy day projects too. Happy crafting!
