I'm on the look out for easy and quick things to do with the kids in the school holidays and this recipe for Dinosaur Footprint Biscuits on the Tesco Real Food website caught my eye. Don't they look fantastic?
At first glance I thought I would have to go out and buy some sort of cookie stamp or cutter kit for the dinosaur feet, but no - you just use toy dinosaurs that you have around the house and press them into your biscuit dough to make the imprint! Once you have rolled our biscuit dough, make the dino prints and baked them, it's just a case of filling the print with coloured icing to make them stand out. How cool is that?
There is a recipe for the biscuits along with full instructions on the link above, but in reality I expect it would work with your own favourite biscuit recipe should you have one.
I love this idea, and it genuinely looks like loads of fun to do, and I'm sure the kids would love it too. Right now they are busy covering every surface in the living room in seaside stickers, so baking sounds like a great idea for tomorrow!
