It's been a strange year, weather wise, so far. I was wearing shorts and t-shirt for the first two days of this week, by Friday I'd put the heating back on and fished out my warm snow boots and gloves.
If the weather forecasters are to be believed you won't need to travel abroad for snow by the end of the month, because it's heading our way.
However, I'm sure you wouldn't turn your nose up at an all-expenses paid skiing trip to France if you were the lucky winner.
You'll stay for a week, on a chalet-board basis, at one of VIP SKI’s CLUB chalets in the French resorts of Val d’Isère, Alpe d’Huez or Morzine.
The answers are: Logierait and Ell and you need to get your entries in before 13 october.
It's nice to win 'things' as prizes but sometimes straight-forward, simple, cold hard cash is just as appealing.
£500 cash is up for grabs in this competition.
The answer is 'how are you?' and you the closing date for entries is 29 October.
In Friday's competition £1000 worth of toys was being given away by the Early Learning Centre; Firebox have trumped that and are offering you the chance to win £3000 of kids 'stuff'; crazy!
The answer is 'penguins' and you need to enter before 31 October.
A couple of years ago I ticked 'Go to New York' off my Bucket List - I do have another New York thing on my list though, and that's to go to the Big Apple at Christmas time.
I want to see the enormous Christmas tree and go skating at the Rockerfeller Centre; I want to wear long warm coats, gloves and walk hand-in-hand around Central Park with my husband.
If you've never been to New York then you really must - it's a fabulous place, I love it!
This holiday is worth £5000; the answer is 'The Chrysler Building' (I could see that from my hotel room window) and you need to enter before....I have no clue when the closing date for entries is, I can't find it anywhere so just enter now and be done with it.
GOOD LUCK!
