If you want to avoid the fist fights over the last turkey in the shop then online grocery shopping is definitely the way to go!
Those delivery slots on the days before Christmas get booked up really fast though so you need to be on the ball to book them as soon as you can!
Here's the information about Christmas Delivery slots for the main supermarkets:
Asda Groceries*: The Christmas delivery slots have opened TODAY so get booking right away for the best ones! Click here for a voucher for £10 off your first grocery shop.
Tesco Groceries*: They make it a bit more complicated than the rest of the stores. If you are a delivery saver shopper you can book Christmas Delivery slots from 26th December, and from experience these go FAST. Last time I was up at 2am on the first day of booking (crying baby) and still didn't manage to get the slot I wanted! Any leftover slots (yeah, right) will be made available to non-delivery saver customers to book from 30th November. Maybe it's time to take out that Free Month Trial of the Delivery Saver scheme*?
Morrisons*: Christmas Delivery Slots are available NOW!
Sainsbury's*: You can book slots up to 3 weeks in advance, so for example the earliest you could book for Christmas Eve is 2nd December. Click here for £15 off your first online grocery shop*
Ocado*: Slots for Christmas Deliveries are open now for "loyal customers" and Smart Pass customers, for ordering up until 24th December, and slots go on general release on 5th November.
Waitrose*: Christmas delivery slots are open now for all customers.
If you are worrying thinking that you haven't decided what you will be buying, with most of these shops you can place a minimum order to secure your slot and then add or amend your order until the day before it is delivered.
If you are ordering this far in advance also remember that offers, prices and item availability will change over the course of the next few weeks so make sure you check your order before it is due.
Make sure remember sprouts, sellotape and batteries! Everyone forgets those apparently. ;)
