Is it too early to talk about Christmas? Yes? Someone ought to tell Selfridges that. Yesterday, they officially opened their Christmas Shop. I am astonished but I can see why. As people find themselves having to tighten their belts even more, they are starting to buy presents and other festive goodies earlier, in order to spread the cost of Christmas.
There are around 140 shopping days to go until that magical, festive day. Selfridges have transformed the fourth floor of their Oxford Street store into a Christmas explosion with no less than 50,000 decorations going on display.
As the Autumn creeps in, the Selfridges 'Winter Wonderland' will be expanded further to get the shoppers spending and the festivities ramped up.
