Oh my, have you seen the painfully adorable photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, which they released via social media today?
The official Kensington Palace twitter account announced:
"A new family photo - Merry Christmas from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte."
You don't have to be a fan of the Royals to be touched by this cute family snap. For a family that lives under the glare of the world's media (and yes, I know there are lots of rather lovely trappings that come with that...) it's refreshing to see them looking so down to earth and normal - just like any other family trying to capture the perfect Christmas snap. Or even just one in which everyone's eyes are open and no-one's having a meltdown!
One small thing though - touched as we are by this delightful snap of the Royals, we'd love to have seen the out-takes. You know what I mean, the several pics that inevitably ended up binned before they happened on one which fits the bill!
