Ten books make up this Young Puffin Modern Classics book collection and feature a range of stories from well-known authors: Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine is included in the collection, along with Jill Murphy's Worst Witch.
The Worst Witch was one of my most favourite stories when I was little, I dread to think how many times I read it - Mildred was so clumsy and Ethel was such a cow! I cheered every time Mildred turned her into a pig.
Mr Majeika and Diary of a Killer Cat also form part of the Young Puffin Modern Classics book collection; my daughter adored Anne Fine's Diary of a Killer Cat story, I swear there was a time where, if I'd tried, I could have recited that book by heart!
