World Book Day has come and gone, but the pictures still pop up on Instagram. I don't remember it being quite such a big deal in previous years, but it's the less dubious start of Spring version of Halloween these days! This is not a bad thing. Fortunately for us, Mothercare still has a sale on selected books, and some of them are crackers.
I know this is pretty much sacrilege, but we find so many cheap books on the market these days that I tend to buy more books than go to the library. Once I've paid petrol, parking, and the inevitable late fines for never getting them back on time, I spend more on library books than just buying books which at least my kids get to keep!
In this 50% off offer at Mothercare you can find books like The Gruffalo Sound Book for £6.49 instead of £12.99, or What The Ladybird Heard for the same price.
You could pick up fabulous gifts, like the The Gruffalo and Friends CD Box Set for £9.99 - it's £9.46 at Amazon, but you don't have a click and collect option there.
There are also loads of educational resources, like Usborne wipe clean Tell The Time or Counting books, down to £2.49.
Plenty to choose from for gifts, holiday entertainment, or simply to refresh the bookshelf.
