The Highway Rat is not very nice.
He steals food from all the other animals, even the hay from his own horse, and the entire story is written in fabulous Julia Donaldson rhyme.
"Give me your buns and your biscuits! Give me your chocolate eclairs! For I am the Rat of the highway, and the Rat Thief never shares!"
He may have met his match, however, in the form of a cunning duck!
You'll have to read the story to find out who wins the day, or perhaps the duck persuades the rat to mend his thieving way! <--- my attempt at some Julia Donaldson rhyming! I thought it was pretty good straight off the cuff...
