Today M&S have launched their first pre-loved back-to-school uniform shop in partnership With Oxfam and Ebay. Plus if you choose to donate old school uniform you can get 20% off selected kids clothing at M&S!
Marks and Spencer is extending its long-standing Shwopping scheme with the roll-out of Shwop boxes for school uniforms in over 200 stores.
The M&S Back-to-School Shwopping boxes will enable pre-loved school uniform items to be given a second life by being sold in an Oxfam shop or through a dedicated pre-loved school uniform shop on eBay.
It’s the first time a national retailer, Oxfam, and eBay have come
together to pilot the sale of school uniform through a pre-loved eBay
school uniform shop. By partnering with eBay, M&S and Oxfam hope the pilot shop will mean
even more families can access affordable, great quality school uniform –
no matter where they live or how they choose to shop.
M&S said every school uniform sale – whether through Oxfam’s shops or via the eBay – will raise funds to support Oxfam’s work in tackling poverty and inequality around the world. Any items that can’t be resold in Oxfam shops or on eBay will be recycled or reused wherever possible.
As a special thank you for “shwopping” school uniforms, Sparks customers will receive 20% off selected kids’ clothing at M&S. Offer cannot be used on discounted items, babywear, accessories,
footwear, nightwear, underwear, school uniform and hosiery. Not valid in
outlets
.
The only request is the clothing be of at least “hand-me-down quality”.
There's no list to tell you which stores this will be in at the present time so it may be worth contacting your local store if you are planning on making a special trip there.
