Apparently it's International Friendship Day today, so my kids and I made Friendship Fortune Cookies for our friends.
You will need:
- Ready to Roll Icing
- Icing sugar for dusting
- Paper or post-it notes. We used the Stickipedia post-it notes.
- A circle shape
- A rolling pin
My partner in craft is only four years old, so we try to keep crafts simple and pretty quick to do.
For this craft, write messages on strips of paper, but keep them quite smalls - about pinkie finger sized.
Dust your work surface with icing sugar, before rolling out the coloured icing. You can use plain colours, or mix the colours for a fun marble effect.
Press out circles - we made ten from the two blocks of fondant icing.
Fold a strip of paper in half and place it in the centre of the icing circle.
Fold that in half, then fold in half again, without actually closing the final half.
Set them aside to dry, and give them to your friends, but do warn them about the paper in the middle!
