On reading the newspapers this morning, I came across a couple that had pieces about some kind of Lego* panic. It has been reported that Lego may not be able to keep up with the demand for those little plastic Lego bricks, despite working flat out. Lego are the biggest toy company in the world, so it's unsurprising that their building toys are in demand.
The issue is with new orders and not any they have received so far. There has been no specification given as to which Lego lines are affected or which European countries that will be hit by the shortfall. All we know is that Roar Trangbaek, Lego's Spokesman is reported to have said "We will not be able to deliver all of the orders coming from customers in the remainder of the year.".
We knew Lego was popular especially at Christmas, but who knew that Lego would struggle to keep up with our need for it.
All we can say is to only order sets from retailers that are in stock, rather than pre-ordering just to ensure you get those Christmas presents on time.
If you are planning on getting organised early, check out these half price sets overt at Tesco Direct*.
